It was great to see many of you at our first park day. Tamae and Tetsuro said the combined online connect group for those who couldn’t join was encouraging too, they really enjoyed hearing good reports and journal shares from people outside their normal connect groups. We are looking forward to our next park day on 10/24, 1:30-4:30pm at Ohori Park. If you haven’t filled in the “Plan Your Visit” form (same as the 10/10 event) yet please do so from this link so you will be able to check-in to our gathering, as well as to keep up to date with the schedule and how we are making our gatherings Covid-safe. (If you filled it in for the 10/10 event you don’t need to fill it in again)

As we look to the future of more in-person gathering once again, I was encouraged by this verse in my journaling.
Haggai 2:19 (NLT)
I am giving you a promise now while the seed is still in the barn. You have not yet harvested your grain, and your grapevines, fig trees, pomegranates, and olive trees have not yet produced their crops. But from this day onward I will bless you.”
As we look to our next season, I’m encouraged that the seed we will sow in building the church and sharing the good news of Jesus with people is going to be fruitful. I’m also encouraged that the people’s lives we have touched online are going to bear fruit as well. There are many people we have connected with online, sowed seeds of the gospel into their lives, and those seeds have grown. I’m encouraged that as we continue reaching out online and also gathering in-person that we are going to see fruit in their lives and get to celebrate as a church family for what God was doing that we couldn’t see.
I want to encourage you too as you continue walking with Jesus, if there are things you have been sowing into with faith but haven’t seen fruit yet – keep believing and trusting that God is helping them and you grow so that at the right time in His plan they will bear good fruit.
This month don’t forget that we have an extra opportunity to give above our tithes towards our Heart for the Next Generation. This is financially sowing into our desire to keep reaching generation after generation of people here in Fukuoka and Kyushu, and being able to bless the next generation and help them grow up knowing and following Jesus. Part of how we will use this finance is again giving Christmas gifts to families in our church and also to families outside our church to bless them this Christmas. Please pray and consider how God wants to stir your generosity in giving towards this investment into the next generation this month.
