Thriving in a new land

1 - This new land is so different, but there is so much good here!

(Numbers 13:27 Voice) We checked out the land, just as you’d instructed us to do, and here’s what we discovered: It is rich, very rich. One could say that it flows with milk and honey; and look, here is some of its fruit. The land is highly desirable

(Numbers 13:28 Voice) but the people who already live there are really strong. Their cities are enormous and fortified. What’s more, we saw the Anakites there.

2 - God’s desire is for us to flourish here

(Numbers 13:30 Voice) But Caleb calmed the congregation, and he spoke to Moses. We should go straight in, right away, and take it over. We are surely able!

(Jeremiah 29:11 NLT) For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

(Jeremiah 29:4-6 NLT) This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says to all the captives he has exiled to Babylon from Jerusalem: [5] “Build homes, and plan to stay. Plant gardens, and eat the food they produce. [6] Marry and have children. Then find spouses for them so that you may have many grandchildren. Multiply! Do not dwindle away!

3 - Don’t wait for the old - build and thrive in this new land!

(Luke 23:43 CEV) Jesus replied, “I promise that today you will be with me in paradise.”
