Thriving in a New Land
Thriving in a new land
1 - This new land is so different, but there is so much good here!
(Numbers 13:27 Voice) We checked out the land, just as you’d instructed us to do, and here’s what we discovered: It is rich, very rich. One could say that it flows with milk and honey; and look, here is some of its fruit. The land is highly desirable
(Numbers 13:28 Voice) but the people who already live there are really strong. Their cities are enormous and fortified. What’s more, we saw the Anakites there.
2 - God’s desire is for us to flourish here
(Numbers 13:30 Voice) But Caleb calmed the congregation, and he spoke to Moses. We should go straight in, right away, and take it over. We are surely able!
(Jeremiah 29:11 NLT) For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
(Jeremiah 29:4-6 NLT) This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says to all the captives he has exiled to Babylon from Jerusalem: “Build homes, and plan to stay. Plant gardens, and eat the food they produce. Marry and have children. Then find spouses for them so that you may have many grandchildren. Multiply! Do not dwindle away!
3 - Don’t wait for the old - build and thrive in this new land!
(Luke 23:43 CEV) Jesus replied, “I promise that today you will be with me in paradise.”
