Matthew 19:4-6 NLT

Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” (5) And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ (6) Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.”

Genesis 25:29-34 MSG

(29-30) One day Jacob was cooking a stew. Esau came in from the field, starved. Esau said to Jacob, “Give me some of that red stew—I’m starved!” That’s how he came to be called Edom (Red).  (31) Jacob said, “Make me a trade: my stew for your rights as the firstborn.”  (32) Esau said, “I’m starving! What good is a birthright if I’m dead?”  (33-34) Jacob said, “First, swear to me.” And he did it. On oath Esau traded away his rights as the firstborn. Jacob gave him bread and the stew of lentils. He ate and drank, got up and left. That’s how Esau shrugged off his rights as the firstborn.

What Do We Do Then?

1.Calm Down (Journal)

Matthew 4:2-4 NIV

For forty days and forty nights he fasted and became very hungry.  (3) During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.”  (4) But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say,  ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

2.Run From Temptations, Don’t Fight It

1 Corinthians 6:18 NLT

Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

3.Have Dreams And Visions

Proverbs 29:18 TPT

When there is no clear prophetic vision, people quickly wander astray. But when you follow the revelation of the word, heaven’s bliss fills your soul.

2 Timothy 2:22 NLT

Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
