1.HOW I MET THE BLESSING OF GOD
John 1:12 NIV

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

Galatians 3:13 NIV

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”

2.HOW ABRAHAM MET THE BLESSING OF GOD
Genesis 12:1-3 NIV

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. (2) “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.(3) I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

THREE TRUTHS OF OLD TESTAMENT BLESSINGS
A.THE GREATER ONE BLESSES THE LESSER ONE
Hebrews 7:7 NIV

And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greater.

1.THE BLESSING IS A SIGN OF SPECIAL FAVOR THAT IS INTENDED TO RESULT IN PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS
Deuteronomy 28:3-7 NIV

You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. (4) The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. (5) Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. (6) You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. (7) The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

Numbers 6:24-26 NIV

‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; (25) the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; (26) the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’

2.THE BLESSING IS REAL AND POWERFUL: "MAY GOD ALMIGHTY BLESS YOU AND MAKE YOU FRUITFUL"
Genesis 28:3 NIV

May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your numbers until you become a community of peoples.

3.HOW I GREW IN THE BLESSING AS WELL
Psalm 100:4 NIV

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

Luke 10:5-9 NIV

“When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ (6) If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. (7) Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. (8) “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. (9) Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

4.C’MON, LET’S BLESS THE NEXT GENERATION.
Luke 18:15-17 NIV

People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. (16) But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. (17) Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
