Is Anything Too Hard For God?

I hope you are having a great week!
We are looking forward to increasing in-person gatherings as the national emergency is lifted next week, and hopefully we can enjoy a “Church in the Park” time for connect groups as the Sakura Cherry Blossoms come out.

This week as I was reading the Bible God spoke to me about having a laugh of faith.
In Genesis 18 it says,
11 Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing.
12 So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?”
13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’
14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”

Sometimes it may seem that our circumstances are impossible for even God to change, but I want to encourage you with the though “Is Anything Too Hard For God?”.
Of course we know the answer is NO.
God, the creator of heaven and Earth can surely move in our lives!

So let’s not have a laugh of doubt in a hard time, instead lets have a laugh of faith as we see in a little later in the story in Genesis 21,
6 Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

Sarah named her child Isaac which means laughter!
God wants to turn a laugh of doubt in to a laugh of joy.

So let’s talk some time this week to laugh with God!
Laugh at the enemy.
Laugh at the tough time.
Laugh at our mistakes.
I believe God wants to increase our faith at this time, and let’s remember “Is Anything Too Hard For God?”.

We can’t wait to see you in Church this week, thank you for your faithfulness in staying connected to God and to others!
We are seeing people reached for Jesus across Kanagawa and we get to be part of it!

It does seem likely in the near future we will be resuming in-person gatherings so I want to encourage you to stay faithful with your giving at this time, and lets exit this pandemic stronger than we started, in a great place to step into a permanent facility in yokohama, yokosuka and atsugi.

This month let’s be praying for:
1. More opportunities and ideas to reach people locally.
2. Zoe International School launching in April
3. Stability in families finances and also Church tithes & offerings.

Have a great weekend and talk soon!
Josh & Yuki.
