OUR STORY

Lifehouse Sendai is an international church located at the center of the Tohoku region.

When a great earthquake struck the Tohoku region in 2011, Lifehouse, in collaboration with churches worldwide, sent a recovery support team to the Tohoku region every week to help the people in need. By sending a great number of youths abroad to help with the earthquake recovery effort, we were able to form valuable bonds with the amazing people of Tohoku.

Through this experience, our feelings and sense of calling we hold for Tohoku and Sendai deepened further, and in 2012, Lifehouse Sendai started. Since then, many people have met Jesus and have started preparing themselves as people who shine with God’s light, bringing forth change within our beloved city of Sendai.

And of course, this is just the beginning. We sincerely pray for and look forward to you joining this story.
