Acts 2:17 NLT

“In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams“.

Recently, a work colleague from the past, reached out to one of our campus pastors. She had a dream, where she saw her desires come to pass. After this, one of her desires came true, just like in her dream. This experience was so impactful, that she called her family overseas to tell them about it. To her surprise, she discovered some of her family members had a similar dream. She felt this wasn’t an ordinary dream but a spiritual dream. This dream made such a great impression on her that she went to church to inquire about it. At church, the campus pastors had the opportunity to pray for her and lead her to Jesus.

God speaks to people through dreams and vision

People from every nation and every age can hear His voice. Even people who have never heard His voice before, can hear it for the first time. God speaks to us because He wants to bring purpose to our lives.

Proverbs 29:18 TPT

“When there is no clear prophetic vision, people quickly wander astray. But when you follow the revelation of the word, heaven’s bliss fills your soul”.

God’s Word brings revelation and clarity to the dreams and visions God brings to our lives.

Why are dreams and vision so important for us?

Why are dreams and vision so important for us? Because: vision = purpose. When we follow God’s directions (Tora), our souls are filled with bliss (happiness). We need to feel confident that when we ask people to journal, we are asking them to prioritize God’s word in their lives, and that we are helping them walk in happiness.

Journaling is when we ask God to speak to us directly from His Word. It’s so simple that anyone can do it! We’re forever growing and needing daily bread! We never arrive. We can never see ourselves as the exception.

Vision is “how” we see

Vision is not what you see but how you see.  So if that’s the case, what do you see for this year? For Connect Group? Dream Team? Work? Church? Studies? Even when we feel our dreams and visions have been lost or are dead, God’s Word can breath new vision, and new dreams.  Come to the rest of 2020 expecting God to speak into it.
