Discovering The Gift Within You

You are gifted by God! And God wants you to develop your gifts to their fullest potential so that you can serve others well!

‭(Romans‬ ‭12:5-8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)
“so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”

(1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:12-14‬ ‭NLT‬‬)
“The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit. Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part.”‭‭

HOW DO YOU DEVELOP YOUR STRENGTHS:
1) You’re employed for your strengths!
-Walk into the office and be ready for your 1st task!!

2) Determine what your strengths and weakness are.
-Focus on developing your strengths!

3) Be passionate about what you’re doing.
-What energizes you? This is probably a clue to what you are passionate about. Some people have skills that they are not passion about.

4) Find your learning style.
-Ideas are important! Make sure to write them down on a file somewhere so you don’t forget.

5) Commit to your strengths in:
-Time
-Energy
-Prayer

6) Delegate to people who can compensate and complement your weakness, and oversee those delegated areas.
-Don’t be average with your strengths; Delegate so you can focus on your strengths.

7) Don’t compare yourself to others with similar strengths
-Your personal journey has developed your strengths in it’s own unique way.

8) Excellence.
-Be Proactive + Initiate (don’t think that’s not your job)
-Pray (talk to Jesus, He will guide you)

ASK YOURSELF:
How can you improve your strengths? (A small list is achievable. You can always add more to the list as you achieve your goals).
