Step 1. Plan for Money – Make a Monthly Budget

Hello everyone! Today let’s take the first step towards financial freedom!

Do you have an idea of where your money always goes?

Do you know how much you are paying exactly for your house, for food, for investments, or for savings? Or, is it like the bubbles in a beer that disappears every month?
Are there other people besides your husband/wife that know about this? Yes. No one is supposed to know about it, and if there is someone who does know about it, it is not an independent life.

“A budget is telling your money where to go, not wondering where it went.” -John Maxwell

Are you thinking, “you’re too tight talking so much about deciding where you should use your money”? But most people who say that are those who are complaining “if it’s only this much, it’s not enough” at the end of the month.
Budgeting is to “freely manage” the money in your hands to go to the “right priorities.”
When you set your heart financially straight, and in that, you divide your salary and decide how to use your money, at the end of the month you should feel that your heart is free.

Right here, we’re going to talk about the number one thing that should be on your financial priority list, Tithing.

God wants to lead us to the best life like a sheep to a wonderful pasture. However, like a sheep who gets lost by following a different person other than its shepherd, we will become lost too if we put someone or something else in the number 1 spot other than God.

Tithing is putting God first in your financial life. That’s why tithing is not the “remaining 10%” nor the “i-don’t-really-want-to-give-this 10%,” it is supposed to be the “first and best 10%.”

Tithing also prevents you from being lost financially, it will bring us to that wonderful “pasture” filled with peace.
In budgeting, no matter what the situation is, you won’t compromise and give your tithes with joy. I believe that this is connected to living a life of financial freedom whatever situation you’re in.

So, have you become more willing to budget now? If yes, start budgeting your income this month!

God is asking us to do one thing financially. It is to be faithful. Let’s be clear in declaring where the money that was put in our hands should go, and that you are not working for money, but your money should be working for you.
Yes, you are the manager.

His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ – Matthew 25:23
