WATOTO AFRICA
Watoto is an holistic care program that was initiated as a response to the overwhelming number of orphaned children and vulnerable women in Uganda, whose lives have been ravaged by war and disease.
2008 UNICEF and UNAIDS, estimates that 47.5 million orphans live in sub-saharan Africa, one quartar of whom have lost their parents to AIDS. 2.5 million of those children live in Uganda.
Founded by Gary and Marilyn Skinner, Watoto was birthed through Watoto Church (formerly KPC), a thriving local church in Kampala, Uganda.
