#For what reason am I living? (Last) – Let’s have fun!

While living a good life, doing good things, working diligently every day, and being blessed by a great group of friends, we humans often forget one thing.

To just go all out and have fun.

Right now, I live together with an amazing wife and four unique and precious kids. I’m also blessed to have a job as a pastor in a truly wonderful church. But even with a life like this I forget to have fun in all the busyness, pressures, and a bunch of other things that actually aren’t all that important.

If we don’t enjoy the good things in life then they don’t really have any sort of meaning, do they?

When God created the world, He rested on the seventh day; not because He was tired but for an important purpose, which was to enjoy the wonderful world He had created with people. That is why God made the seventh day an important one and protected the act of enjoying life and having fun by doing so.

So let’s just have fun!

I felt that God spoke to me and told me to just have fun. I think God is telling you the same thing as well.

Jesus carried all the reasons for why we can’t enjoy life on the cross, then rose three days later; all in hopes of enjoying your wonderful life with Him.

So let’s also enjoy your own uniqueness today. Delight in your spouse. Enjoy the time you spend with your kids. Have fun in the challenges your job gives you. Enjoy the city you live in. Take in and enjoy the scenery around you. Go all out and have fun in the adventures you have with friends. Above all else, acknowledge that everything is God-breathed, because your life will be overflowing with unimaginable joy if you do.

Genesis 2:1-3 NLT
“So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.”
