The Good News for Those Alone at Christmas – You can also shine!

Well, looks like the Christmas season is here again! Everywhere you look, you can see bright, colorful lights bathing the streets in a cheerful glow. Makes the city feel completely different, doesn’t it?

Did you know that YOU are a lot like those lights? You are the light that can shine upon the darkness of this world and the salt that can make a difference in your town. That’s how God designed you!

Just as an Illumination is set off with a simple flick of a switch, so too the light you have turns on when you believe and receive the true Christmas message!

Sure, there might be a crack here or there or a bulb that doesn’t light up the way it’s supposed to. But if you focus your life on living and walking with Jesus, he can fix that right up on your journey- as good as new.

If you are feeling down as you think you are alone at Christmas, why don’t you try to do something good, remembering that you are the light? And it will surely illuminate your heart and the darkness someone else might be feeling.

If you can shine the light in the darkness in somebody’s life, don’t you think you can afford to be made fun of or called “alone at Christmas?”

If you begin to shine your light out, you are sure to find friends! And just like a city on a hill, you can be a light to the world together!

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.”
-Matthew 5: 14-15

Let’s go to church to receive the true Christmas message together- even online! I am sure that you will meet some great friends with whom you can begin to shine!

As a local church, all of us at Lifehouse (as well as all other churches), would love to welcome you.
May this Christmas be the Christmas you begin to shine!
