Peacemaker 2: You are a person who finds a common point

It’s really amazing when you finally get to understand someone or be understood by someone, right?

Whether it is by skin color, race, or beliefs, people are being grouped in terms of similarities in this world. This is one thing that makes this world beautiful, isn’t it? But the sad thing is this “common thing” is being used as a reason to look down on and hate other groups of people who don’t share this similarity. There are even situations where one group hates them so much that a feeling of killing them develops inside of them.

But the killer and that person he wants to kill both have the same color blood running through their veins, have the same hearts that weep and rejoice, have the same feelings of pain, have memories, have people who are important to them…

If we can just remember this basic idea- that we are all the same- will it not allow us to put down our raised fists?

So, what should we do in this world of constant conflict?

Let us become people who find a common point in one another.

Jesus found those common points that are inside all of us.

One of the most important points is:

We are all created by God, and God loves us all the same.

Because Jesus saw that common point in us, and because he recognized that all of us have a value, he sacrificed his life for us on the cross.

All of us were lost and have done wrong things. Jesus came to this world for all of our sakes.

Let us all remember this.

The person who is right in front of you has value to the point that God gave his life for him.

And you also have that value!

You, who tells these things to another person, are a peacemaker.
