Wrapping Up October

We hope you have had a great week, it was great seeing some of you at the park last week! This Sunday wraps up our series on “The Lord’s Prayer”.

Matthew 6:9-13 NIV
“This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’

Our hope as we finish this series is that you can incorporate the Lord’s Prayer and the 5 P’s into your daily prayer life. That it can be a trigger for you to become aware of God and be actively praying for God’s plan over your life and the lives of those around you.

I have made it part of my early morning with my son, praying the Lord’s Prayer with him and praying for specific things as I think about our church and community here in Kyushu, as well as my family and what God has for us.

The 5 Ps:
Praise (for God)
-God’s Plan
Provision
Pardoned life
Protection

What can you be praying for by incorporating the 5 P’s into your daily prayers?

This next week also marks the end of our focus on Heart for the Next Generation giving – a chance to give above the tithe to sow seeds into the future generations of our church. This year we will be sending Christmas presents to families across Kyushu as both a blessing and an outreach. We are also putting some of the money aside to be able to invest in young people who want to complete Bible College by being able to sponsor them. If you would like to partner with us, please pray and give at https://mylifehouse.com/give/, be sure to select Fukuoka and designate “Heart for the Next Generation” or “HFTNG”.

We’re looking forward to this weekend and future of what God has for our church as we look to November.
