We are ready to see you at one of our 4 in-person services coming up in the next 5 weeks. Starting with this week we are celebrating 3 baby dedications, then next week will begin our 3 week Easter series and focus on communion (sign-up here to join as event restrictions are still in place). April 17th is Easter Sunday and then April 24th we will celebrate 8 years since Lifehouse Fukuoka was first planted! That is a big month of celebration ahead in Fukuoka, and I’m excited knowing we will also have some of our Kyushu family making the trip in some weeks to join with us.
But I want you to remember that these services aren’t just for us to celebrate and worship God, but also to give the people around us a chance to hear the good news of Jesus and have their lives changed by him. Jesus encouraged us that there are always people ready to hear the good news around us.
(Matthew 9:37+38) Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Our job isn’t to change people’s hearts, God will do that, but He wants us to create opportunities for people to have that touch from Him. We can do so much more together than on our own, so join with us in serving God and being part of God’s plan to bring in the harvest of people ready to receive Jesus in their hearts. My goals for this next month: invite, serve, connect with people, all with joy. What can your goals be?
One new opportunity for invitation from April is “Tomodachi Futsal”. Once a month we’ll be having a futsal event to invite people to connect to the church family while having fun. It’s a great chance for outreach and connecting with new people that we can then invite to church. If you want to join or have friends that would be interested sign up for our first event is open.
When: 4/2, 3-4pm
Where: Tenjin Mina rooftop
Have a great weekend, if you can’t join in-person then jump online with our church family all over Japan for one of our online services.
