Happy New Year

2022 is here already! Happy new year to you all, we hope you have been able to enjoy the new year’s holidays and are praying God is refreshing you both physically and spiritually as you look to the year ahead.

As each year we like to end with thankfulness for what God has done, we also like to start the year with open eyes and hearts for what new things God wants to do.

(Isaiah 43:19 NIV) See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

While God is playing the long game (His plans go well beyond calendar years), the start of a new year is a great trigger for us to check if we are holding onto the past too strongly, or if we are ready to see and go where God is leading us into the future. Best ways to check?

-Read the bible and journal: write down what God is saying to you, as you continue this habit a bigger picture will form from the little words God gives you each day

-Be part of the church: we aren’t meant to follow Jesus alone, we’re meant to join together to be encouraged, to grow, and to build the church together to see God’s plan worked out across the world. When we stay alone we can forget about God’s big picture outside of our own lives, when we stay connected to the church we get to see God’s plan outworked in our lives and in the lives of others.

This month in Fukuoka we will be gathering in-person twice for 11am services. January 16th will be in Daimyo MK Hall, January 23rd will be in Tenjin Chikumokubiru. January 23rd is also Vision Sunday, where we will hear from Ps Rod about what God has done in our church in this past year, as well as what we are believing for in 2022. If you are able to join for an in-person service we would love to see you! Fill out the “Plan Your Visit” form to state up to date!

If you will be joining us online we also have news. From January 16 onwards we will be moving our online services to join with all other Japan campuses as one, big, online Japanese campus. We will let you know how you can join that next week. This week, join us for our last live stream on Lifehouse Fukuoka or Lifehouse Kyushu channels and pages. We will be live from 10:45am before our 11am service, we would love to see you in the comments.

Have a great weekend, praying for refreshment for you!
