Welcome to March! Spring is here. We’re looking for the cherry-blossoms starting to bloom. And we’re looking forward to the month ahead and more chances to see you as a church family!

As we have just finished our “Re-ignite” series, I want to encourage you that God is always at work. This week in my journaling I was again reminded that God’s plans are always going to be better than my plans, and that He will do great things now, even in situations that I may think aren’t “special” or “ideal”.

(Habakkuk 1:5) The Lord replied, “Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it.

God is still outworking His plan to spread the gospel across Japan. He is still using our church to reach people who have never even heard the name Jesus. He still wants us to play a part in this great plan where ever we are. I recently got to talk about who Jesus is with a guy I met at the cinema 2 months ago because I invited him to Language Exchange online. If you have been waiting for the “perfect” time or situation to invite someone to church or connect group, or to share about your faith, I want to encourage you that God wants to do something now. So let’s reignite our passion to invite others to hear the good news of Jesus this month, and see what God will do through the opportunity that may surprise us.

As well as online, keep an eye out for more chances to gather this month in-person. Once we know when the cherry-blossoms are blooming we’ll be taking the chance to enjoy some hanami. And we will be having an in-person service on March 27th in Fukuoka, more details to come soon.
