We are into November already, and coming into a new season as a church. This month in Fukuoka we will be meeting twice (11/14 & 11/28) for in-person services on Sundays! As we start our new series called “Love Your Neighbour”, with a focus on invitation and sharing the good news of Jesus with others, we are looking forward to the opportunity to invite people to both online and in-person services.

After finishing our series on praying with “The Lord’s Prayer”, I want to encourage you as we enter this new series and season by praying for God’s blessing on our church and on our outreach, both in-person and online. I was encouraged by this verse in my journaling a few weeks ago.

Zechariah 10:1 NLT
Ask the Lord for rain in the spring, for he makes the storm clouds. And he will send showers of rain so every field becomes a lush pasture.

Rain is a sign of changing seasons. And rain in spring is expected to cause a sudden flourish and blooming of plants and fruit. But we should never just expect it to rain because it is spring(I know, it’s actually autumn in Japan right now), God wants us to be asking for it because HE is the one that makes it. So I encourage you to ask God for “rain in spring” for our church. Pray for fruitful online and in-person gatherings and outreach. Pray for fruitful conversations as we invite people to join and share the gospel with them. Pray that we will be fruitful as a church so that we can do even more here in Fukuoka, in Kagoshima, and across Kyushu.

We are excited to be gathering in-person for 11:30am services on 11/14 and 11/28 at Daimyo MK Hall in Tenjin Fukuoka. We would love for you to join us, so we ask that if you have not already filled in our “Plan Your Visit” form and understand our precautionary measures for preventing the spread of Covid that you sign-up and agree to follow these measures. We won’t have our full Lifehouse Kid’s program running but will have Kid’s Care available for children over 1 year old, and will be using our Online Kid’s Program video and craft. Of course, if you are uncomfortable or unable to join us in-person, all of our online services will be streaming as usual via all of our Facebook and Youtube accounts and we encourage you to join us for an online service instead.
