We are coming into the third week of our Refresh series. It’s been a great way to start the year – focusing on how we can be refreshed by God so that we can go into 2022 well. And with January also being our month of “Heart for Missions”, I’m reminded and encouraged that we aren’t just refreshed for ourselves, but for the blessing of others too.
(Proverbs 11:25 NIV) A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
This month as we refresh, let’s also think about how we can be generous and refresh others. When God is our source, we won’t run dry, we will be refreshed ourselves as we give out.
January is “Heart for Missions” month in Lifehouse, focusing on an opportunity for us to give over and above our tithe to missions to bless others. The main organisations we are committed to giving towards are; Tejas Asia – which provides meals, clothes, healthcare, and education to thousands of children in the slums of New Delhi, India; and Watoto Ministries in Africa. We also support crisis relief projects as they come up in the year – last year supporting projects in India, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Pakistan. I was so happy and encouraged to see that in 2021, Fukuoka and Kyushu doubled the amount we gave to missions in 2020. Let’s continue with a generous heart this year. Don’t forget tomorrow in Fukuoka we have an in-person service at 11am, sign-up via the “Plan Your Visit” form. And if you are joining us online, from tomorrow we are joining with all the other Japanese campuses. Here are the links for the different ways you can join.
